if you want to be more secure: firefox beats out chrome, protonmail or tuta mail over gmail, i don’t fully trust duckduckgo doesn’t use the same engines as google but doesn’t hurt. google is a damn sticky trap & i wish more was done to regulate tech companies. privacy is pretty much dead tho.
who knows, in all honesty, what it is. i used to do social media planning so i still try to play with curation & pretty much broke algorithms across 3 social media platforms. there also isn’t a way to truly get away from google. chrome is a google product & does track the same as the search engine.
it really depends on the algorithm. for me, your site is at the top but the 2nd hit is Amazon and 3rd is goodreads. google search is pretty garbage without some sort of Boolean search finangling because it won’t give the same results for everyone but it’s still the go-to search engine
