Please bear with me, I am testing an application I have built and this message is to warn followers that without testing I can't fix it. If messages start flooding Blue Sky, I will disable and try to fix it. My hope is that one piece of content will be sent out.
[This message will be deleted]
I appreciate your understanding The Kiwi Pie, it's great to know Notts has representation out their in New Zealand.
-Chris
It's more the fact I didn't re-check, and had missed the spells where the message was being repeated but mistakes happen. The lesson has been learned. =)
Thanks for the kind words, Matt. It's great to see fans keeping that 'Notts' togetherness and encouraging it.
-Chris
It was nice to see the early responses from people, I haven't been all that well despite making games and this isn't about that but me trying to make my time more practical. Honestly, I didn't expect anyone to reply to the first intended message. β€οΈ Please do accept my apology, and explanation. [7/7]
The application I am building should in time allow me to send content out from the site more effectively, whilst potentially getting help with promoting the various media produced. It's supposed to be a strive towards improvements, but I take this set back on the chin. [6/7]
Would I blame anyone? No, but I will be aiming to make up for it in time and I do hope that my transparancy goes somewhat to explaining what happened. I also hope that my apology is accepted, as again I would never intend to cause any annoyance to the Notts community that follows this account. [5/7]
I would never knowingly allow anything of this to happen, and this is the first time something like this has occurred in over a decade of me doing this but then it does come down to me believing my tests had been successful, which clearly wasn't the case. A few did unfollow, perhaps more... [4/7]
The last message was a debug attempt that wasnβt sent out, just used to trigger the preview in the app Iβm building because I thought everything had gone to plan. I still donβt know what caused the repeat, but I hold myself accountable and I do understand that it would have been frustrating. [3/7]
I have been working on a feature that comes from good intentions but unfortunately an oversight has happened and the biggest is that I hadn't noticed sooner. My initial testing seemed to be error-free. I sent several messages which were not automated but written by myself. [2/7]
Please accept my sinceriest apology regarding the flooded messages which have been sent out. πππ»
It's important to me, that I at the very least let everyone that I hold my hands up and that I apologise for the annoyance. The message was supposed to only be sent once... A mistake on my part. [1/7]
I have disabled the application now, but haven't had a chance to investigate why the same message was sent over, and over again. The initial message was written by me, I sent a couple of different messages that I deleted at first and all seemed good. It clearly went crazy, but you live and learn.
Hi Travor, Iβm very sorry about the repeated messages that flooded your account. Itβs my fault β I didnβt spot it, and I still donβt know why it happened. A part of my code for sending content from the site caused it to send multiple times. Iβm really sorry about that.
β Chris
I wish I could unfollow myself just to clear the messages, but Iβm slowly working through them. Iβm not sure what went wrong, but I hope you accept the apology I sent earlier. Iβm sending these so I donβt miss anyone, as deleting them might hide the issue and apologising feels right. ππ»
-Chriss
I actually typed it, but somewhere along the way it's gone all crazy and I am not sure why. I wished you had let me know, though I should have noticed myself. The test seemed fine, so I don't know why it was repeated. I do apologise though, Tim. Good intention, bad outcome. Sorry!
-Chris
Sorry, Mrsmagpie. The message was only supposed to be sent once, but clearly there's an issue with my code. I have been building someone to help send content out from the site whilst I am there. I really do apologise about the amount of times you have been flooded with the same message.
-Chris
Sorry about this, I am going through deleting them. The message should have only been sent once, so the fact it's flooding BlueSky - I am really sorry about that. If only it had passed and stopped when it should have, but it's my fault for not noticing sooner.
-Chris
Failed, it should have only been sent once. π
I'm very sorry about the amount of times the message has flooded your account. I need to go back to the drawing board and fix what caused this. I hope you don't mind, and that you will understand it's just an error on my part.
-Chris
Iβm sorry I didnβt spot this sooner. Iβve been building a tool to send content straight from the site, and everything looked fine at first. I hadnβt realised these messages werenβt being logged. Sorry for the issue and the annoyance.
β Chris
