A village in a valley with rolling green hills. In the distances are striking granite cliffs rising thousands of feet, one has a huge waterfall, while others are capped with snow, all beneath a pink sky.

I spent a week in Paris and now I'm heading to the Alsace and then the Alps!

I'm not sure how much time we have left here in Germany and Europe (hopefully more) but just in case I'm doing my best to enjoy my favorite places.

We found a new vintage fountain pen…

Neuschwanstein, the famous castle rests on a small ridge along the alps. Behind it, rests a green valley and lake.

Neuschwanstein isn't my favorite castle... but it's one of those ones that you kind of just have to go see. It is so amazing from the outside.

For a more lived-in castle I much prefer the one here in Heidelberg or Burg Eltz.

Prague was one of the earliest trips we took after moving to Germany, and still one of the prettiest cities we've been to.

I'm not sure when or if we will get back to it, but I think I'd really like to see it dusted with snow.

It is pretty great!

A cobbled street meets paved asphalt with a pink restaurant in the middle. Bright green ivy climbs the surrounded structures and the sky is lit with a mix of pinks and peaches.

I'm going back to Paris soon. So I thought I'd share this from last summer.

France was my most traveled to country last year, but It's only a 1hr drive and sometimes we go because the grocery stores are better.

I do like Paris though. Mostly for the coffee and stationary.

Time FLIES!!!!

Today marks exactly 3 1/2 years that we have lived in Heidelberg.

I love this city, and the castle!

A river reflects a Baroque German town. Behind the town are rolling hills with a few golden trees, while a castle tops the top left corner of the photo.

Fall has wound down here in Germany, and it feels like winter, but back in October we took a trip to Cochem, and it wasn't as vibrant as growing up on the US East Coast, but it was lovely seeing a bit of color along with the rolling hills and castles.

I think thats only like an hour and fifteen minutes away. We’ve driven past it but haven’t stopped.

The Christmas markets have opened!

I stopped by one of ours in Heidelberg today, and I know we will go back multiple times over the next month.

It's a really special time of year to living in Germany. From the big cities to the smallest towns, everywhere is decorated and super cute.

No matter the season, the Jungenfrua region in Switzerland is always stunning.

Other than Alsace (which is an hour away) I've revisited Lautenbrunnen (in the photo) & Grindelwald more than anywhere else since we've moved to Germany. Can you tell why?

New leather journal day!

Hamburg. In the forground locks hang on a bridge support while in the distance is an island in the middle of a canal with two bridges leading to it. All the buildings are the same red brick.

It feels like fall is slipping by too fast.

The trees were naked here in Heidelberg about two weeks earlier than in the previous three years.

Soon the skies over Germany will be gray, and sunlight will be a rare thing seen until March. #photography #Germany #hamburg
