January 3rd, remember the date π #lufc
How? π #lufc
Thatβs just for Piroe
Is it spoiled to say I want more than7? #lufc
Thereβs a good chance Iβm going to be rewatching this game all week. I need to hear the commentary from @brynlaw.bsky.social and Tony #lufc
ππππ
Heβll be cursing Bamford
This isnβt the Leeds Iβve come to know and love? I have a horrible feeling Iβm going to wake up at 14:55 and this was all a dream #lufc
Bogle is unbelievable #lufc
My word Piroe β½οΈβ½οΈβ½οΈ #lufc
This is the 3rd time that player has gone down holding his head. Just book him and tell him to stop being a twat
Bogle needs to be a serious contender for player of the season. I think heβs ahead for me, heβs been so good #lufc
Heβs a bloody nuisance alright
There needs to be a rule brought in that any striking of a drum is an immediate penalty to the other team to stop this nonsense #lufc
Might not be normal but youβre certainly not alone if thatβs any comfort? π
Be interesting to find out if thatβs the same Lino as the other disallowed goals Farke complained about a couple of weeks ago. Unlikely I know, butβ¦ #lufc
I donβt think itβs too much to ask for better officials. Fuck #var thatβs shit, but it shouldnβt be too much to ask to get easy calls like that correct #lufc
And then putting on Sam Byram on to get the winner instead of him too
Farke doing a complete 180 on last seasons approach of chucking all the strikers on to chase a goal, and has put on all the defenders instead #lufc
Iβm sure the guys at @allstatsarentwe.bsky.social will say that Dan James has tried that shot 100 times this season, but if at first you donβt succeed try try try try try try try try try tryβ¦ again?
John, the blind Leeds United fan from yesterday's story, didn't bring it up but it came to my attention that he and his wife (also blind) have had a no fault eviction notice. Fundraising has begun. It'd be amazing if Leeds fans went big on this
#lufc
Firpo wasnβt very good under Bielsa, but he was also playing at a higher level.
Another theory I have on Farke is that sections of the fan base expect to win every game, and itβs a massive head loss when we drop any points, which also likely ties in with the anxiety of promotion
Unlikely. But you asked a question and I posed a theory. To question whether Bielsa is coming back or not is irrelevant to peopleβs feelings on Farke, no?
I should point out that I do like Farke, I just have some frustrations with him. Itβs also easier to look back at the time with Bielsa positively as thereβs not the anxiety of getting promoted. I think that anxiety clouds a lot of peopleβs opinions too as we all know we need to get promoted
I guess thatβs up for debate. Farke inherited a squad with Gray, Struijk, Firpo, James, Gnonto, Summerville, Rutter. Besides Gray theyβd all played in the premier league (albeit limited in Rutters case).
Bielsa raised the level of the squad much higher than any of us thought capable I think
The frustration for me is that Bielsa was very capable of changing a game with changes from the bench, something that Farke is very rarely able to do with a better squad of players at his disposal.
I think itβs mostly due to frustration and what what Bielsa brought us. Bielsa made us the best team in the championship with a squad that many had written off, whereas Farke has the best squad in the league, arguably over 2 seasons.
This game is everything @dan.thesquareball.net didnβt want. Donβt suppose you have any in game spreadsheets?
I just donβt think Aaronson has the pass that gnonto played to James. Heβd have likely jinked, delayed, and passed it back #lufc
Iβm now 100% in on Firpo 10, Byram left back and Aaronson collecting the training tops #lufc
