Technology has created an emotional disconnect in people, inundated with information 24/7, and because of that it creates “fatigue” (an advertising term). So now we have millions of people in denial of the facts. It’s the Great American Con happening as I type this, and the worst is yet to come.

Now, I feel this is under attack with the abuse of the term “DEI”. I cherish diversity, welcome equity, and support inclusion. Without it we will indeed go backwards. I took many photos and videos of my visit to DC, but today I share this snippet.
It was not lost on me that it was also Black History Month. While a painful look back on the egregious treatment of people of color in this country, it is necessary so we don’t forget. It is necessary so we can process these heinous acts and heal. It’s necessary so we don’t go backwards, ever.

Carrie Underwood is upset over the events at the inauguration citing other stars who performed in previously. I take that as a stab at the administration she was ushering in. She’s just another servant in their world to be used at their disposal. That’s the reality she agreed to participate in.

I use Libby frequently. However many of my favorite indie authors use KU as a primary revenue source so I’m not leaving them. I read the book on KU and then if I loved it I buy it as an ebook so they get paid twice. Several of my favs aren’t on Libby because they aren’t published traditionally.
