Gimme a Brake (Light) - FREE brake light changes - November 15, 11 AM-2 PM Optimist Park, 703 Oakwood Ave NE What is it? A community event where socialists fix your brake lights for free! No appointment necessary, though RSVP-ing will help us prepare. Snacks will be available. Why brake lights? Broken brake lights are among the most common reasons for police stops. Any police stop can result in expensive fines, harassment, or arrest. For black and brown people and those without papers, a police stop poses a distinct threat. By fixing brake lights for free, we aim to take a small but significant action to protect one another from harassment, deportation, or violence at the hands of the police.
If you are in the Huntsville area this Saturday, November 15th and need your brake lights changed for free, NADSA is holding our first brake light clinic!
