If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
This “solo dev” and “only 3 devs” rhetoric is getting truly dangerously out of hand. Investors see this and think “I only have to pay 3 people” and the result is severely overworked and/or underpaid people and a subpar product. We need to stop treating outsourcers and contractors like ghosts.

Just got this update from Kobo which says it's going to use AI to read my works to "enhance" discoverability and marketing, and determine the "suitability" of the works and "adherence to Kobo’s Terms of Service" among other things.
Which is why I'm immediately pulling my books from Kobo.

There's nothing like a European night for a teams development. Doesn't matter what level it's at. The seriousness of the opposition fans in each knockout game was an incredible experience to see this young team deal with.
This Chelsea team hasn't won on the road since December... (Apart from the conference league I suppose) ... This is a huge result. Conference league enabled them to gain confidence in how to go about grinding out difficult results.
What a professional performance from Chelsea. First time I've seen it from this side since Tuchel was going well.
