In the last 15 months, I have been unemployed for 13 of them. I have 700+ applications sent and 50+ interviews, but no offers. I have encountered sexism, ageism, fake jobs, employment scams, and interviewers so ignorant of laws and appropriate communication skills I was taken aback. UGH!
I don't post a lot here - I mostly lurk in the shadows. But I need to vent. I've been unemployed for 8 months. Unemployment $ ran out 5 months. We are trying to survive on just my husband's income, but it's not enough. Tried applying for assistance but the shutdown closed those doors. Fuck tRump.

I don't sleep at night. I get maybe 4 or 5 hours of sleep early morning to around noon, but trying to fall asleep is, for me, like Sisyphus pushing the boulder.

tRumpy isn't stupid. If he appears to be using his right hand to wave the wand, it's a sure bet it's a misdirection so his left hand can move the shells around.
But can you imagine what tRumpy and Musk-Ox would have done with a shut down government? It was a lose/lose proposition and I don't think Schumer failed. I think he saw the men behind the curtain and made the possible of bad choices.
But for those of us who can't pick up and leave, we need alternatives. Running away is no better than capitulation.
