James Naughtie on #TWAO on #R4 vox popping a bunch of older blokes in a pub in Glasgow, all saying they’re going to vote Reform. ‘Between talking about football…’ says Jim, but neglecting to say which team they support. Which might be quite a useful indicator of their political views generally…

I love a proper brolly, especially the cane handled ones. Unfortunately they are allergic to me, and any I buy disappear within weeks.

Football went to shit when it became the norm for goalkeepers to wear short sleeved shirts.

A few years ago I started ‘recollecting’ the Crass singles I had when I was a kid. Man, they’re expensive! Especially for things that were sold for 99p when they were released.

Liverpool fans, I'd expect, will boycott the platform en masse at that and rightly so. I hope other football fans follow. It needs Killing off.

Grok has also done a United one, in which it refers to United fans as 'eternal crash victims'
I've seen some justify staying on X in recent weeks because of the football community on there. This has to be the reason to leave. It's vile.

When Brexit was slammed for being an act of pure prejudice, all the Brexiters howled about ‘sovereignty’ and ‘taking back control’.
Now, the very same people howl that we should just obey Trump and put our country in the firing line.
They lied about everything. All of it. Every single part.

I was the producer of the R1 Top 40 then - the studio that day was slightly mad. Tabloids hacks ringing up trying to find out which was at number one.

ICO writes to Meta over 'concerning' AI smart glasses report Videos, including of glasses-wearers using the toilet or having sex, are sometimes reviewed by a Kenya-based subcontractor.

Last year when I was checking into a hotel, the desk person was wearing Meta glasses. I kindly asked them to take them off. They were annoyed. I said, “I do not consent to you looking at my credit card and ID with Meta glasses on.” My instincts were correct: www.bbc.com/news/article...
