That's what i really enjoy about messy art, it allows to portray emotions a lot better than if I had to use line art - it's such a raw (and fun) form 🐬

I portray subspace a little theatrically, he's making a show of mockery. On top of psyhicall torment, he adds on mental one - He's also holding him in place, forcing him to endure the suffering while he has all the control over his fate

+ I usually draw coil 2.0's crystal to be infecting the horn, as opposed to the healing one he had before

He's trying to fight against the hold, but he is unable to -
trying to grasp/tear them out, while lacking the executive strength to do so. Subspace allows for him to do that to toy with him, since he knows coil cannot change anything now

Appreciate you seeying symbolism in the shapes, in colors and placement - I'm happy it all ties to the heavy atmosphere I aimed for!
