It's not something I've done a lot of research on, but I think the scholarly consensus is pretty clear that Christ existed and that he was likely unvaccinated.

Pretty crazy how important the blockade of a trade route is right now

very grateful to have all this material prepped now, but I am *never* doing this again
(at least not from scratch)
this will amount to about five *hours* of me talking ๐๐
Didn't know y'all were on Bluesky! We love to see it. :)
At Busted Halo, we love the Catholic Church, and we also have a heart for reaching those who question, struggle, or feel they have no place in the Church. Thatโs why we're thrilled to announce our new section, Voices From the Back Pew. Check out Voices From the Back Pew here: buff.ly/mXBGGFC
I did wonder if a few of my wrong clicks were finding the otherwise unnoticeable boundaries in the LED backlight array of my laptop monitor...
(ok that was a lie I actually did wanna brag a little; this is how Professor X gets the mutants to improve by friendly rivalry)
don't wanna brag but just played again and got 0.0032 this time ๐

(used a better monitor)
I FOUND THEM I just needed a sleep, a community Mass, and a whole lotta coffee
until Disney up and buys the guvmint
if I recall (this was long long ago) he ended up with two solutions, one of which ruined the consistency of the popcorn so you wouldn't want to eat it and the other of which cost like $20/kernel so had to admit defeat
when I was at Imagineering R&D there was one scientist who was trying all manner of techniques to get popcorn to pop in the shape of a 3D Mickey Mouse head. I applaud all these food engineers and their commitment to finding new marvels of carb and sugar construction. bravo! (sincere)
I feel like I had the most trouble with things in the red part of the spectrum, but yeah would be interesting to see some data
greetings, fellow mutant
so am I one of the first X-Men, then? or do I just add "can perceive color differences beyond the theoretical human limit for perception" to my CV?
Yes, hello, is that God? Yeah, hi. I have a complaint. You gave me this brain thatโs designed for finding berries and avoiding lions and now people are โjust circling backโ to see if we can โmove the needleโ on โkey initiativesโ? NONE of those things are berries.
Your ฮEโโ JND 0.0049 Genuinely remarkable. You sailed past the theoretical human limit like it owed you money. I'd accuse you of cheating but I don't actually know how you'd cheat at this. 40 rounds โข 35/40 correct (88%) โข 6 reversals
Prouder of this than maybe I should be; decades of doing visual design work insisting "look, I promise you this color change actually *does* make a difference" vindicated in a single number.

so obviously the answer is to screw around and complain on Bluesky; surely that will invoke the muse
tryin' to get things moving by editing some existing stuff instead and it does feel productive but the generative part of my brain will just not budge
need to write like 2000-ish words and the well is DRY and it's been a long while since I was in this predicament
Rock Band was great and all, but once everyone got tired of failing Green Grass and High Tides, kicking back to chill with some frolf was the perfect bow on the evening.
Frog golf. Try to hit the frog in the hole, but upon landing its AI kicks in and it explores the course in unpredictable ways. Enough skill involved that you never QUITE lose hope; random enough that you're constantly cursing. Great with pals and one-too-many beers. Staple at my first LA apartment.
New in PN: The bombing of Iranian children is an unforgivable crime
"American disinterest in the lives of people abroad is a resource politicians use to justify cynical wars. It's hard to see on what moral grounds we claim a right to decide the fate of those about whom we clearly care so little."
"You know how medical doctors have been complaining for decades about how patients trust 'Dr. Google' more than the actual trained physician in front of them who understands their case? What if we expanded that to all fields of expertise?"
The Aramchek Proposal: instead of the leap year and daylight savings, every two years, we wind the clock back twelve hours, flipping AM and PM while preserving the integrity of the duodecimal clock. The repeat hours of the flip are a global festival where we celebrate manโs shared war against time.
Good to know! I have less confidence in my own skills than yours as a professional in such things, but need to do some more investigating on what the landscape looks like these days.
Maybe I overthink it but I feel like that might be too much of a conceptual leap? I guess it's not topologically very different from most board games, which they understand...
โA real war with real death and real suffering being treated like itโs a video game โ itโs sickeningโฆ Our government is treating the suffering of the Iranian people as a backdrop for our own entertainment, as if itโs just another piece of content to be swiped through.โ
Clear and correct by archbishop Cupich. This war is being waged for clicks, to โownโ โlibsโ or whomever the hell they think theyโre owning. Treating horrific reality like God damned entertainment, like a video game. (I choose and use these words deliberately). Grotesque is too mild a description.
the real trouble is that usually leads to me being the GM which I do not (always) want to be! ๐ค
