It can be lazyness, maybe the publisher requires the use certain tech, maybe lack of time, or a combination of. Only games that don't target pc/ps5/xbox are the ones that run far better...
Got a pc but it's 6 yrs old, and honestly I avoid AAA games cuz they run terribly...

Most people will probably go to telegram or steam, but I do want a *proper* place for stuff like streaming, and I'm willing to bet it on these startups than stay on discord, discord was also a tiny thing at some point.

I am afraid of so, but honestly that's still nowhere near bad staying on discord so.

Mind that both are pretty buggy from the little i already tried, it'll probably be a frustrating experience at times, but if u were around for when discord originally launched that also was a huge mess (and worse than these)

Important to say that all these consoles had actual native support, as in they had either 100% compatible hardware, or they had that older console's hardware alongside it's own in the case of the NDS, not emulated.

That it didn't sadly, can be emulated fine with homebrew though, an R4 card makes u able to do a lot on a NDS.
Just keep in mind to not put any GBA games on there, cuz the GBA slot on the NDS actually uses it's own set of hardware separate from it and if you run games on an R4 it can't access it.

the ds could run gba cartridges as well
another cool tidbit i like is just the cross-platform games between the gb and the gbc, games that were made with the new colors in mind but you could still play on the older gb with a few less things like pokemon gold

If you really like this thing and feel like perhaps buying more I honestly'd consider the GBA and the GBC former because it's got such a good library that you can still play happily today... and the gbc because similar but also it makes you appreciate how big of a leap they did from the original GB
