New Junipers! Yay!
I am so so happy that this exists. I've cherished those singles and b sides for decades. Thank you for making it happen.

Very Randy Newman, that one. I'll have to find that issue of Shindig. Cheers!
Wow. Beautiful melancholy. Has anyone compiled these?
Gosh yes I can hear that! Never heard it before but I love it, could be on a Fading Yellow compilation. It's a very distinctive early 70s sound there.

My little yellow bird - The Everly Brothers
"I used to hold it in the palm of my hand
And now I'm a very lonely man
I couldn't keep it and I love it
My little yellow bird"

I totally adore "Party Chambers", especially when it turns into Hatfield And The North during the synth solo.
Ha, my old Burmese cat Bez used to get smashed on catnip and look like that.
On Saturday, March 7th Jello Biafra suffered a hemorrhagic stroke caused by high blood pressure.
โจโจAs per Jello:
Are they going to sing Happy Birthday to you?
Happy birthday Jason!
That makes two of us then.

The obvious cuts are great, can't knock 'em, but sometimes it feels like they're overplayed and overanalyzed. Tapping into the end of the decade zeitgeist et cetera.
The term was coined by Andy Ross of Food Records, home of Blur, but first appeared in print in a live review of Moose in Sounds magazine.
Yes!
I sometimes think I like the outlier side of the Rolling Stones. This, "Jigsaw puzzle", "Torn and frayed", "Heaven", "Dandelion", "On with the show", all of "Between the buttons"... Nobody else picks these are their favourite Stones tracks. "Deep cuts" I suppose.

"Monkey man" - The Rolling Stones
"Well I hope we're not too messianic
Or a trifle too satanic
We love to play the blues"

Herbie Hancock's solo is the icing on the cake. Sublime.
I'll be in Benidorm but I'll be there in spirit 8-)
Sometimes chugging along is the best we can do. Hope everything works out for you x
Anyway, enough about me, glad you're on BS - there's still a few people I miss from the other place I've not caught up with. Hope you and yours are well. Take care and God bless!
Hello again! Glad to catch up. In Jan last year I contracted Guillain-Barre Syndrome which destroyed my nerves and stopped my muscles working, 8 months in hospital, home for 6 months and I'm still paralysed in my shins and feet and learning to walk again. But it's improving with time.
Remember when Status Quo did four gigs in one day? Or The House Of Love played three London venues in the same night?
Well the Honeybourne Hospital Tour has its own version of that this Wednesday - hydrotherapy at St Joseph's followed by a CT scan at the Royal Gwent a few hours later.
Rock on!

This is an emotional rollercoaster - laughter, tears, progress, jargon (Swedish Nose, anyone?), memories jogged and the jigsaw of lost time put back into place.
A year ago this week I was celebrating shrugging my shoulders cos that's all I could move. I've come a long long way.
God bless the NHS!
God I love this song. One of those songs where I thought "How has he read my diary?"
