A breakthrough moment; a clear focus with 13 specific commitments on rare and less common cancers in the new National Cancer Plan for England.
This plan has the potential to address longstanding issues for these cancers and we look forward to supporting its implementation.
World Cancer Day is a reminder to come together to take action against cancer. In the UK, 47% of cancer diagnoses are of rare and less common cancers, yet they account for 55% of cancer deaths. We must work collaboratively to overcome this difference.

Rare Cancers Bill has now passed through the House of Commons! What the Bill wants to achieve for rare cancers. 1. Governmental lead for research. 2. Improve clinical trial access. 3. Incentivise research.

This Bill could mark a significant step forward in addressing the urgent need for increased focus and research in the field of rare cancers.
