Best bits: 1) The field is diverse, not only in terms of topics or applications, but also of roles needed: what you like doing can become your career. 2) A winding career path can get you were you need to be while giving you a unique point of view on your field. 3) this field is changing the world.
How was it? All the speakers - whose career paths were each more impressive than the next - were very down-to-earth and gave meaningful insights. In addition: a beautiful setting, tea, great organisation and the kind of warm atmosphere rendered possible by a restricted number of participants.

What was it? An afternoon at the @royalsociety.org to hear six entrepreneurs and industry professionals reflect on their non-linear careers and how they landed in the field of Engineering Bio.
