I spent a couple of hours this afternoon watching Elsie Mae mark her birthday. Volunteers stood nearby, enduring the shifting weather as they kept steady watch over her.

Good morning,
Sunrise lit up Three Fingers South this morning, snowy ridges glowing and the sun bursting right over the summit. This peak is the southernmost of the Three Fingers trio, home to a historic 1930s fire lookout and some of the most rugged alpine terrain in the Cascades.
A vivid sunrise over a tranquil body of water, with the sky ablaze in streaks of red, orange, yellow, and purple. The colors reflect off the calm surface, creating a mirror-like effect. Silhouetted mountains line the horizon, and a forested shoreline appears on the right, adding depth and contrast to the serene scene.
