If you want to know how the British print news industry ends (which is, de facto, amazingly still what supports most newspaper websites) it's the distribution channels getting banjaxed. When you lose "TG Jones" etc even people who want a paper can't get one. That'll be the real start of the ending.

A warning.
All the worst people in the country are now shitting themselves.
The mother of all campaigns is now going to be directed against the Green Party.
It will be an unrelenting smear campaign.
The Greens need to be ready for that - and so does everyone on the left.

Public backs rail nationalisation in latest transport poll
70 per cent of Labour voters, want the government to nationalise rail rolling stock.
π―from Green MP SiΘn Berry:
βThe public is fed up with the outrageous profiteering of rolling stock leasing companies as they line the pockets of shareholders with record profits, while rail passengers are made to pay the bill with rising rail fares."

Unbelievable that Scotrail used this AI slop imagery in presentations & publicity.
Not only making themselves look ridiculous, but not employing real artists & designers, esp in a state owned railway
Using humans contributes to the economy. AI doesn't.

βYou are a government of cowards, because you wonβt tell people the truth about migrationβ
The Green Partyβs Zack Polanski says society is βfeeling brokenβ because of years of austerity, and βfair and managedβ immigration is βa positive thing for the countryβ

Used to do this when living in London, meeting friends in Leicester Sq. We all had the numbers of the row of phones nearest the cafe. Plenty of instances of bemused tourists answering a ringing phone to be asked if they could pass it to the bloke with the long hair & leather jacket standing nearby π

Sadly missed it but absolute credit to @lb-southwark.bsky.social running a 'Guided Cycle Consultation' where Officers actually got out & cycled with residents to consult changes. People saying it was the best consultation they've ever seen. FANTASTIC progress that every Council should copy.

"His policies do deserve proper scrutiny"
*Proceeds with a pathetic condescending article that has no scrutiny of polices, just ignorant dismissal of everything they don't want to understand*
If you really want to read the drivel without paying Murdoch, this works (Option2)

Amid horrific violence it is clear the LNER train crew acted with incredible professionalism and bravery. The actions of the injured guard were heroic, and the coordination with blue lights to get to the best place for help to reach passengers was vital. Full respect for these workers. ππ
