A few of my favorite winter things
Come see Sam and his friends singing, dancing, and celebrating chocolate!
I was looking at the same thing this morning! My attempted photo didn't come out well--glad to see yours did.
I take pictures of small print and use my phone to magnify the text. It makes me feel simultaneously young and tech-savvy and really old.
Two hands with purple-stained fingers, pulling elderberries off a stem into a bowl filled with elderberries.
The color of summer on my fingers
Results from an hour and a half of harvesting this morning (elderberries take a long time to pick).
There are an amazing number of pearl crescent butterflies in my mint patch right now.

This morning's harvest
Newsies this weekend!
A conspiracy of chickens! It certainly sounds intriguing.
A hand holding a small piece of bread, one half with yellow homemade butter, the other half with off-white store-bought butter.
Store butter versus homemade
Ooh, so sorry. Hope you are able to rest this weekend and your recovery is quick and uncomplicated.
Springtime nature walk
Solomon's seal plant
My son's birthday present: an egg skelter (an attractive metal spiral to hold the eggs from his free-range hens).
Still have the collection. If I'm giving away food I make sure it's not in one of the best ones because I can't be sure it will live a full life span if it leaves my house. I've splurged on three silicone bags that I'm pleased with and am looking to grow my stash.
