ACLPI, with co-counsel Adriane Hofmeyr, has filed a lawsuit challenging the county P&Z commission's vote to rezone land for the controversial “Project Blue” data center, alleging violation of AZ’s Open Meeting Law because the meeting agenda didn't provide public notice of the true rezoning purpose.

Celebrating Last Week's Historic School Funding Victory - Last week brought a historic win - and the coverage followed. Channel 12 News called it “the biggest legal decision since the 1990’s” for Arizona’s public schools. Now, we have to fight to uphold it.
Today, Judge Fox ruled AZ's funding for capital needs of public schools is unconstitutional & must be reformed. “After carefully & thoroughly reviewing the record . . . the Court concludes that the current... system does not meet the constitutional minimum standards (set) by the AZ Supreme Court.”

The US Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit unanimously upheld a ruling striking down AZ's “reason to believe” voter registration law for violating the 1964 Civil Rights Act. It would have required recorders to citizenship check if they had “reason to believe” the voter is not a U.S. citizen. ACLPI.org.
