Have you looked at Winboat to ruin Windows apps on Linux? It uses a VM affair but makes the apps look like they're native to the Distro you're using? But yeah I agree with you on at long as... But 16 years ago Vista fight went to do it so I switched lol

That's a nice setup, but.... One tiny issues on the PC.... Ubuntu or Linux Mint would suit it better 😁😉

My laptop is a HP ZBook 14 G2 and the Plex server is the Grandad of i7 3770 CPU's streaming happily for the family on Plex with a few Terabytes of shows and films.... I'm hoping to upgrade it to a 7th Gen i7 later especially now the market is getting flooded on eBay 😉

I switched from Microsoft "Gingerhaired" Evil Stepchild Vista back in 09, went with Ubuntu, tried KDE a number of times, I just can't get on with it, went GNOME 2 at the time, then Unity and I then switched to MATE and now I'm back full circle to GNOME with tweaks! Great journey eh?
