Here we go! 1st flight: started ribbing. 2nd flight: bind off?π€

100%!! Ideal if the cowlβs ready to be worn when itβs time to touchdown! βοΈπββοΈ
Cowl coming together slowlyβ¦slower than the countdown to my flight. Pre-travel chaos reigning right now. This is starting to look like a project for the plane βοΈ

Another beanie done. The pattern looks like tiny flowers in this snowy weather π
#knit #knitting
The extra ball of yarn I got for the beanie is now getting made into a simple matching cowl π

π Commute through the Scottish Highlands in the dreary weather is perfect for getting those rows in. Behind all that fog are lovely snow-capped peaks ποΈ

Second beanie on the way, with a different self-patterning sock yarn this time. Some split opinions on the colourwayβwhether it looks more like Miffy the rabbit or Mondrianβs art π¨ either way itβs super bright and cheery!

I learnt on a darning mushroom+Youtube and now have a darning loom. Weaving the threads back and forth feels quite therapeutic (even though Iβve yet to figure out how to neatly finish the mend π )
Thatβs really kind of you to say, thank you! π₯°

Beanie is doneπ My first time working with self-patterning sock yarn went great, loving the pattern thatβs come out. Will definitely use again. Recipient very pleased.

After the ribbing, the pattern called for k3 before tight bind off. I kept it at k2 before the βregularβ bind off. Up close it looks like itβs curling up slightly but from afar itβs created this clean line effect!
Definitely! Itβs so bright and warm. Still have some balls leftover from this jumper, already debating what to make from it next!

The yarn emoji jumper is done π§Ά My first time working with 100% wool, I was amazed at the difference after wet blocking. Wore it out already, lovely weight and comfy oversize fit πββοΈ

Mended a big hole courtesy of Dog, who briefly mistook these folded socks for a toy. 𧦠Darning is definitely something I want to practice more on. The knots left on the outside per sock ownerβs request (but surely thereβs a way to hide them better?!)

π Beanie WIP update. Coming along nicely (and far more quickly than I expected). Loving the pattern.

A hexagon cardigan made from scrap yarn. Tweed buttons from the Isle of Bute, where we went for a short getaway. I love the blue/brown colourway and still wear it often π

Finally starting this beanie after buying the pattern a year ago. Working with self-patterning sock yarn for the first time.
This is going to be so good for those long festive commutes, but hopefully wonβt take too long to make. I need to get two finished before January ποΈ

π§Ά Yarn emoji turtleneck update π§Ά Just half a sleeve + the neck to go. Slow and steady wins the race, but still had hoped for faster progress! Of course whenever youβre close to finishing a project, life finds a way of getting extremely busyπ«¨

(Itβs a pumpkin-shaped teapot by the way)
I was recently gifted some puβer tea from home, which I havenβt had in years.
To keep the tea hot, I made this tea cosy last night with 2 balls of white wool that was forgotten in my stash. Quick freehand project thatβs already working wonders on this cold day π₯°

βοΈβοΈ For the frosty walks this week weβve finally broken out this #crochet granny jumper I made from scrap yarn for Dog last year.
No pattern used, and a few balls of yarn easily busted π
A quick hello! Based in Scotland, have fidgety hands, a desire to procrastinate, hoping to use this space to record the things Iβm #knitting, #crocheting, etc etc.
Baby blanket I finished a few weeks back. First go at a backing, hand-stitched as I donβt have a sewing machine! π
The π§Ά yarn emoji turtleneck π§Ά continues. I love how it looks in the daylight, so autumnal πππββοΈ
Sleeve coming together. Feels a lot quicker now the body and ribbing are done!!

Turtleneck WIP. My first attempt at a raglan did go a little haywire, but reckon I pulled it back sufficiently. Also my first time working with 100% wool, which feels lovely
