In terms of the timing of Japan’s proposed intelligence reforms, it’s reported that the Takaichi govt will aim to establish a National Intelligence Agency this year, while an External Intelligence Agency will be created by March 2028.

I just recently found out that it's quite easy (&free) to get in with a tour when the diet is not in session. We had a wonderful guide duo take us (a small group of tourists) through the 衆議院-side of the building and a bit of the garden a few weeks ago. Can highly recommend for tourists and students!
