This story took many months to report and Iโm really satisfied with the results. Too often it seems like we categorize these kinds of programs as full success stories or full failures - the truth usually falls somewhere in between.
Me, seeing a story about โsexy walkersโ in the rundown for Morning Edition:
The business is preparing to move into the cafe space at the Hoxton Hotel, in the same city block as its current shop but on Fourth Street. Owner Ian Williams said he expects to reopen in late February or March.

People donโt give much thought to the purple leaves in their salad mix, but maybe they should. That bitter, leafy vegetable is likely radicchio, and it's kinda having a moment.
I've been spending time out in East Portland's District 1 to capture what it looks like for a long-ignored part of town to finally have representation in City Hall. I'll be chipping away at stories over the coming months. Here's my first snapshot:
Tommy Ly and A.T. Nguyen say they have fond memories growing up visiting Chinatown with their families. They co-founded GeekEasy Cafe, hoping it can inject some life into the historic cultural hub for Asian Americans in Portland.
