Today is the last day that the State Department is taking public comments about its policy denying accurate passports to trans, intersex, and nonbinary people.
Tell the Trump administration to abandon this discriminatory action NOW.

Kiddo and I finished When the Earth was Green yesterday. Right before we opened the audiobook last night he said βyou know what we should do when we finish this book? Start it over from the beginning.β High praise from this 11-year-old. Only his favorite books get that treatment.
The narration - and the writing- are excellent. My science-obsessed 11yo is listening to the audiobook with me at bedtime and he absolutely loves it. I am greatly enjoying it as well. We have both learned a lot and been transported to a prehistoric world.
You've read the stories about Gavin Newsom throwing transgender people under the bus in sports, prisons, and gender affirming care for trans youth.
Now watch the video and listen.
It's as bad as it sounds. He betrayed trans people and threw us under a bus driven by Charlie fucking Kirk.
My kiddo (almost 11) and I are reading When the Earth Was Green together and he loves it! I am also really enjoying it but itβs his forte more than mine :)
1. Today, the NYT has reported that 100 members of an ERG-adjacent LGBTQ+ chat in the intelligence community have been fired.
This is a new McCarthyism, a new lavender scare meant to remove LGBTQ+ in government, and the way this was done should shake us all.

Musk is telling duly appointed and security cleared government officials that they will be shot if they don't turn over to Musk sensitive information to which he has no right.
In any other country, we'd call it a coup.
The scariest Trump development to date: "Elon Musk's Team Now Has Access to Treasury's Payment System." He wants to tear it all down.

if youβre cis, please stop right now and think about how many other cis people you know are up in arms over these executive orders trying make our existence illegal
how many?
because there arenβt enough trans people to fix this, YOU CIS PEOPLE HAVE TO
and the resounding silence is heartbreaking
ALL arguments against trans healthcare are based solely on religious bigotry. Period. Numerous studies determined transitioning is beneficial for kids too, puberty blockers are safe, etc. Cis allies, we NEED you to be LOUD about this. Healthcare is a basic right for EVERYONE.

By way of introducing myself, Iβm queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent and disabled. Iβm an artist and arc reviewer and parent of a very bright 11yo. Here are some examples of my art:
This looks good! Kiddo (11) is on a prehistory kick so weβve been listening to audiobooks in this vein at bedtime for a while. Will add this one and the authorβs previous book to the list.
