Also, almost every social media platform starts out as a place for young liberals and geeks. Normal people will come to Bluesky eventually and it will inevitably change it.
Maybe this place will go the same way eventually, but hopefully their business model will ensure that it doesn't.
Facebook became popular as a place for young liberal college students. Twitter became popular as a place for journos and geeks. Both became awful by trying to monetize their users' data through the tailoring of content (removing the ability to curate our own feeds).
