Pretty much! And that's ok too. It's not that it is a bad thing and we shouldn't condemn Brown for wanting those things. People strive for success in all different manners; it's what makes us all unique.
Pretty much this. I also think as people they're still (probably) fine but their on the field goals are different. AJ wants his gold jacket and all pro accolades. Hurts wants more rings no matter how he gets there.
If AJ is back this is going to be his last season in Philadelphia. Hell, if he's on the team week 1 there's no guarantee he's on the team on week 18.
No because AJ is useful and has actually contributed to winning on multiple occasions.
But in terms of added dead money to move on yes lol.
You're going to get picks to refill that spot. Maybe 13 or 14 is Jordyn Tyson or Malakai Lemon? Maybe Howie is now willing to trade his second for a buy low WR such as Brian Thomas Jr.?
Also we still have a WR1. It's filling in WR 2/3 with trades and draft, especially if we are keeping Goedert.
You are looking at it properly. It's $43M against the cap for a player who is not on your team compared to a $23M cap for a player on your team. It's only $20M extra.
The funniest scenario to me is the Chiefs because it'll make the Bills and Patriots look REALLY fucking stupid for half passing WR1 again.
Unless Howie is looking at '28 picks or 13 is on the table, I don't see it. My power rankings of "AJ Brown trades pre-June 1"
1. Ravens
2. Chiefs
3. Chargers
4. Patriots
5. Rams
Yeah I am not trading AJ for the 32nd pick in the 2027 draft.
Now if they want to throw in '28 as well...
You forgot actually traded for Calvin Ridley who then got suspended
I think we're going to see that Greenard for a 3rd trade at some point in the next week
This is the greatest bit in the history of the entire podcast

If Nori can improve enough to be a tradeable prospect that can get us something neat at the deadline or next off-season I'm ok with that.
Good morning and happy Podcast Monday everyone! We are very sorry about the late episode; we had some technical difficulties.
In this week's episode, Angelo and Carl are back to discuss this past weekend's Reg F events, our next GC, and the Orlando format debacle.

I think if you're moving on from AJ then Goedert will be back just for some semblance of continuity in the offense. You're still drafting TE and acquiring another WR via draft or trade, but you can at least base everything around Smith, Goedert, and Saquon.
Dave Silver will never see the light of heaven
I'd rather have Mafe or Oweh on their deals than Phillips at 30M
Hurts/Tagovailoa is one of the greatest sports metaphors for life not being defined by a single moment.

Hey, look at it this way. Elias's plan this year isn't "the players the Phillies don't want in their underperforming bullpen"
I love how Miyazaki just hates all of the fans of his work. It's something to aspire to.
We're getting at bare minimum the Pats 1, 2, and Superbowl 39
very funny reading about how βthe Eagles are sticking to their price with AJ Brownβ and saying βhell yeah they betterβ while also reading βthe Flyers stuck to their price on Rasmus Ristolainenβ and descending into complete personal madness
