The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

I agree, TY for this thread of your thoughts on this subject - honesty is important to break the cycles of biases that permeate society and people (without them realizing it, even the most well-intentioned)

As I mentioned earlier, I can't show you all of my pictures because some include people's faces—but the pain and terror on some of those faces would bring tears to your eyes. These are people of conscience who had no chance to process the violence that fell down on them.
All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). These charges must be dropped.

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Fadi. Fadi is 19 years old and wants to go to school to be a software engineer. Instead of studying he has just been trying to survive after his family has been displaced many times. He has a new fundraiser to help him accomplish his goal.
NEW: Last week, Microsoft cut off services for the Israeli military after the Guardian exposed that they were being used for mass surveillance of Palestinians.
This historic win shows the joint power of good journalism and movement pressure.

a corporation is a conglomeration of people with different people making compartmentalized different decisions at any given moment, so of course they are schizophrenic, if not outright psychotic. it's obvious corporations and corporate greed/power/wealth are a threat to everyone, it's been that way
And that we should not remember
Who we have been, nor
Who we are, is natural.
Our condition makes the information
Negligible.

The reason I blame corporations: they financially supported Trump because they saw it as in their financial interest long term, not realizing he was an anarcho-fascist who didn't want to rule so much as terrorize people, and we're seeing that fully now -- cities are training grounds for war, etc.
yeah, I think you'll need to see an emphasis on individual freedom, since that's been destroyed under Trump -- as in the right not to be abducted by the government without much of a formal process, and deported or held in a black site prison without way out, "domestics are next"
I blame corporations
I see a lot of comments: oh it will be so and so, and so and so
it's 2020 all over again -- we had a full stage of people with passion and good ideas and a history in government positions,
remember how much success Dean had -- seemed poised to take the nomination, until one silly speech undid it all
Israel has completely "wilded out", they "wildin' out" on war and genocide, and that's been the case for a while, but now it's so obvious, even their staunchest supporters have to raise an eyebrow and say "what the actual ____?" why are you doing this? To make real estate Riviera?
Because they can.
