There isn’t a question you can ask me that I couldn’t answer in a clear solid way. “What is a woman?” -> “look I get what you’re trying to do here, but whatever you believe about trans people, they exist and deserve decent treatment and basic rights”
You don’t wear a rainbow flag and celebrate every moment of every black history and pride month to stand with us. You just have to be firm. “Look, I get that some people don’t like trans people, but they exist and they have rights and I will fight for everyone’s rights” is a fine response.
If you want all of our votes then you’re going to have to be clear that you stand with us. And if you would prefer to go for the votes of straight white centrist men, then, sorry, but again, that makes you less electable still as far as many people are concerned.
I know you think many of us should vote Democrat purely because Republicans are worse. And most of us will. But some people who are told their rights don’t matter will just not come out to vote at all. And not completely unreasonably, in my opinion.
I get where you’re coming from here, but this “settling” you’re talking about. Trans people and black people and LGBTQA+ people and women who care about reproductive rights are unlikely to be motivated by a party that doesn’t stand up for their rights.

To rephrase that, the new leadership of Iran is younger, more extreme, and now has a number of absolutely massive reasons to never, ever forgive the United States, or to come to the table to negotiate. Trump says the US has won, but they chose this man to lead them. That doesn’t say surrender to me.

If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far. I don’t think Starmer started that, nor did the vast majority of British people today. Seems to me to be celebrated that they’re not standing with Trump here no matter the country’s previous moral failings.
