The morning weather gods smiled on us and we were rewarded with Goshawks wherever we went in the Forest! There were of course other quality wildlife encounters too.

We began the day at a dreary Steart before enjoying Mandarins, Dippers and woodland birds at Cannop Pond. Fingers crossed for a brighter day tomorrow.

Quality winter duckage on Lesvos Tony! - we struggle to see a Mallard in the spring when Garganey and Ferruginous Duck are as likely. The winter Mallard there will have come just as far at the other migrant dabblers
