some additional thoughts that i posted on the bad website. i actually think that william’s death is really the only adaptational choice that i think takes something away from the text. but thats a small thing in an otherwise fantastic film so 👍👍

-i personally wouldn’t have made due to MY own relationship to the text i ended up liking bc i can see exactly where they come from!! i thought the section with young victor was especially good and i Loved what he did with elizabeth as a character. ive got more thought but for now? w!!

i absolutely agree that it is an adaptation of the mythos of frankenstein rather than a direct adaptation of the novel but like. in a VERY good way. gdt’s passion for the text is so clear but its coming through his creative eye and with his personal approach to the story so even choices that-
