More news on the new Lovejoy record very soonβ¦hopefully more live dates to announce as well, and then some news on the next projectβ¦itβs shaping up to be an interesting year.
Saturday afternoon listening
Canβt wait to see you at the Royal Albert Hall!
Itβs such a cool record π
Oh, itβs just me and the legend that is James Kirk from Warren James (and one or two other groups π) having a chat after their blinding show at The Betsey Trotwood last weekendβ¦
Agreed
That was peak Redskins for me- so rare to genuinely improve on an already great original version, but they knocked it out the park. Sadly never got to see them play, had to make do with crummy cassette bootlegs from. Camden Market!
I was a big Redskins fan so theirs is closer to my heart, but Ernieβs was of course great!
Redskins did a version which worked pretty wellβ¦
I feel another rabbit hole conversation coming on but yes, what an absolute band!

I guess thatβs what inspired itβ¦I never saw that link until you wrote it, which is surprising given itβs so obvious π€―
These were the 2 cassette models I had over the years: X26 and Xr7- the latter was so good with 3 band eq and double speed recordingβ¦
I was always intrigued by them- I think they were very reasonably priced, but didnβt seem to be one thing nor the otherβ¦
I got it wrong it was Amstradβ¦I do remember these vestax models thoughβ¦
Yes I remember these- did Vestax do the music centre that doubled as. 4 track studio? Itβs all a very long time ago!
I used to have the equivalent Fostex. Then a few years later upgraded to another Fostex 4- track - they were brilliant for getting to grips with recordingβ¦
Nice to see:
