Now is the time for soldiers, particularly those in the air force to remember their oath to the constitution and refuse unconstitutional orders to go to war without congressional approval.

The unconstitutional way. Now is the time for soldiers, particularly those in the air force to remember their oath to the constitution and refuse unconstitutional orders to go to war without congressional approval.

looks like it's a company town
One prince down, a would be king and the entire oligarchy to go.
here is a nice video about ICE Watch www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDVr...
Thanks for taking a stand against ICE, and for immigrants bottoms like for any candidate on the side of democracy. As a 9-5 techie where do you stand on two issues, Data Centers and city surveillance?
A blue and yellow poster that reads "pack the room! Please show up to demand that our city buildings, facilities, and programs are safe for all residents! A resolution is on the agenda. Let's make Ann Arbor an ICE-FREE ZONE! Ann Arbor City Council meeting Monday February 2, 7pm 301 E. Huron, Ann Arbor It has a QR code in the corner that says "scan for more info"
"A resolution addressing prohibition of civil immigration enforcement in city properties and programs is on the agenda. We will demand that the Ann Arbor City Council make our city buildings, facilities, and programs safe for all residents!" Contact your rep if you can't attend in person! #A2council
first they ignore us, then they laugh at us, then they crackdown, then we win.
your line "Most of the people who showed up at the meeting were against what ICE is doing." Understates. ~90% of all Americans are against what ICE is doing, nearly all at the County Commission mtg opposed ICE. People who came to speak on other issues indicated they opposed ICE on county property
Apparently, just this Thursday Maduro expressed openness to working with the US to address drug trafficking. Of course this is not really about drugs, it's about oil. Specifically petrodollars.
Can we talk about Venezuela rather than speculations about Greenland?
What do we know about vice president Rodriguez?
What is the scale of the attack? Are there US soldiers on the ground? Does bombing continue?
Has anyone in congress done anything
I'm attending Fight the Trump Takeover's event, βFight The Trump Takeover Rallyβ - sign up now to join me! www.mobilize.us/fightthetrum...
The reports from the massive demonstration in Philadelphia are that 70 protesters were arrested for sitting down in an intersection. To my knowledge this was the first mass arrest of civil disobedience protesters resisting the trump administration.
I learned that some lawyers are calling May 1 "rule of law day" other years that would strike me as ironic, since May day became international workers day in memory of the Chicago Anarchist Martyrs. but this year, rule of law is opposed to tyranny, not anarchy.
And City hall was one of two in Ann Arbor, the other at Vets park. But the big thing to remember is that there were over a thousand demonstrations across the US on May 1st. The only estimate I could find for nation wide turnout said more than 250,000 people. Not bad for a Thursday.
Ann Arbor May Day:Certainly the biggest May Day event I've ever been to in Ann Arbor ! (and I've been to a few).

Can we put Marco Rubio in jail yet?
biobanks may lead to precision medicine but my opinion is that successes are still limited. as the abstract mentions "We discuss the limitations of their designs,"
RFK is right about diet and lifestyle, but his prescriptions on diet are off. Less meat and cheese could help a lot with the chronic disease epidemic. The fortunate coincidence is that it could help address climate change as well.
well Alaska at least.
we need more young representatives. If the leadership of the Democratic Party resists democratic initiatives in its ranks, activists like me will continue to work for democracy, but working within the Democratic Party is not the only way to defend our democracy from the attacks of authoritarianism."
But in clearly blue districts there is a need for debate and even primary contests. I support David Hogg's efforts to open the party to new leaders. I am not young (62), but it's clear to me that we needs more elected official of whatever age who are ready to fight hard for our democracy, and . . .
I just sent this note to the DNC: "A democratic Democratic Party has to have room for difference. We got in line behind Kamala Harris in 2024, and unity seemed to make sense at that time. I was not always happy with aspects of the campaign, but I donated regularly and I knocked on doors. But. . .
