Unfortunately, Chiquita was 18 and Haru was 2. They couldn't stand each other. Haru wanted to be friends & Chiquita wanted nothing to do with her and would swat Haru hard. I only had a tiny 1bdrm apartment. They were on top of each other.
Mom died in March 2022. I only had 5 days of bereavement leave from the public library. I brought Chiquita home from Mom's memory care unit, chosen solely on the permission to bring Chiquita along. I planned to keep her.
