Came across the phrase "cognitive DDOS" to describe our present culture.
Understood instantly what it meant.
"The president had DOJ illegally cover up documents about allegations he sexually assaulted a child after Congress specifically passed a law requiring they be disclosed" is, in and of itself, enough to merit rapid removal from office regardless of how true or credible the underlying allegation is.
After learning about collider bias, reading this gave me the second-worst existential crisis about learning anything causal from data *even when you can run experiments*. Really a must-read if you’re not already familiar with this stuff.

Many are appropriately outraged by Altman’s comments here implying that raising a human child is akin to “training” an AI model.
This is part of a broader pattern where AI industry leaders use language that collapses the boundary between human and machine.
