It feels very much like previous times in American history when the people had to defy the powers in order to protect and defend the people. I've often read about the courage the resistance showed and wondered if I would be as brave.

So I bought the Onyx Storm book without realizing that there were two earlier books. I'm not sure I'm committed to dragons enough to read all three. What's your advice? Start from the beginning of the series or don't read it at all?
