It’s also *very* difficult to teach basic rhet comp in an age when bosses are forcing their employees to let a computer take care of all that for them.

I think the problem comes in expecting students to do the reading for those discussions. It was already difficult, and now they are probably coming in with AI summaries in their heads. The slim margin in which they get to think their own thoughts just got much slimmer.

I was so worried about my blood pressure for awhile but it was a full thirty points lower at my (very safe) dentist’s office eve with all my soothing self talk and deep breathing at the docs. It’s a Covid safe practice too, but my psyche apparently doesn’t care.

I’ve only had one, very brief encounter myself (wowza I did *not* get enough warning or explanation for that very invasive modality) but now it seems to be *the* treatment offered by previously multi-modal body workers.
