Ooh! My group of players and I have looked forward to this immensely.

I revisited it in recent years and thoroughly enjoyed running a CyBorg session based on skies tuned to dead channels and lines of light ranged in the non space of the mind. I really want to revisit the rest of the Sprawl trilogy to trawl for inspiration.

Old World is a new system from Cubicle 7.

Drama farmer sounds like the kind of mock swear word we had in the UK intended for bad TV sanitisation of unacceptable US swearing in the late 80s and early 90s. The best instance I can recall is an RP inflected faux American accent overdub for Aliens substituting Maggotfarmer! for Mother******!

I do too, but running games from other languages once a month requires a slightly faster production process.

It is fairly quick to produce a useable translation with screen captures and freely available software, then checking any inconsistencies in the text against the original.

I will give some of these a go for sure. Cheers.

Three grognards toasting a get together.

Three grognards toasting a get together.

Holy Toledo! Grognards are showing up in the neighborhood (+/-111km). A genuine treat to catch up in person in the old capital, Kyoto.

My complaint regarding advertising for the Wagner group was ignored so I left in January 2025 or thereabouts.

The Bllack Company playtest scratches some of the grim dark itch. If I do another round you should try it out. Oh and happy new year!

Yuletide greetings from distant Aichi. Thought of you when I checked the Ghibli store for diaries yesterday, but they appear to have sold out yet again. Tomorrow will be post prandial blue cheese on simple whole grain crackers day, with fine Thai or Australian single malt whisky perhaps.

Film adaptation in progress perchance. Happiest of festive seasons.

The 3-D wallpaper image thing is fun. I just about recognize the icons after their revamp.

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: No Star Wars nor Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Disney or Pixar animated.

SΓ, estoy pensando en llevar a cabo esta campaΓ±a el aΓ±o que viene para un grupo u otro. Probablemente utilizarΓ© material y personajes de Egipto, La Broma Macabre y MΓ‘scaras de Nyarlathotep.

I get an invalid address for this link. I would love to check the price of Haunted West and shipping.

Generally I run the session without some characters just to maintain some momentum. This decision is especially difficult with monthly rather than weekly or bi-weekly sessions.

Cheers Neil. I always enjoy these write ups and the chance to vicariously enjoy some of your experiences from gaming weekends. Missed playing or running at Grogmeetish this time around as I was scheduled to work throughout. The Rick Meints nostalgia department interview was a lot of fun.

I think the first three Lone Wolf were what got me totally on board with the possibilities of role-playing. The cohesion of text and illustration are always tightest with a single illustrator.

I just had to say thanks for Black Phone 2, thoroughly enjoyed seeing it on a Tuesday night in a chilly deserted Utah theater, on a heated reclining seat with a medium size bucket of popcorn. The warmth of the seat didn’t quite keep the chills of the film at bay but it sure enhanced the experience.

A VHS screening of this in sixth form film club was a revelation. The Philip Glass score is just mesmerizing. The other really memorable works from the club were Peter Greenaway films with their Michael Nyman scores. Would love to see any of these on 35mm.

I’ll miss the book club group and discussion again as I am in the US for work. I hope to be back for What a Carve Up.
