"Baltic Whale features a hybrid diesel/battery-electric propulsion system w/ onboard battery ~ 10 MWh, making it the largest battery installed on a RoPax ferry.
In pure electric mode, cruises at 10 knots & complete its route in about 1h.
Diesel-assisted, achieves 16 knots, enabling 45m crossing"

I see it now. I guess it must have been late last night as I frantically looked at the 🇮🇪 on the map for any errors in the format or colors ... even checked Wikipedia ;-)
Thank you Brian for letting me know. I appreciate it. My mistake shall not happen again and good that someone is awake 👍

Dear Brian,
It was not my intention to be disrespectful. If I haven't used the correct flag format, then I would very much like to get it corrected for next time.
Please let me know a bit more as I am by no means an expert in flags?

Europe installed 19.1 GW of new wind power capacity in
2025. The EU‑27 accounted for 15.1 GW of this total.
90% of the wind capacity built in Europe last year was
onshore – and 77% of new wind installations in Europe
between 2026 and 2030 are expected to be onshore.
Germany built the most new wind power capacity in 2025.
Türkiye and Sweden followed. Germany, France, and the UK
were the only countries to install new capacity both onshore
and offshore.
Wind energy continues to play a key role in Europe’s
power system. In 2025, wind supplied 19% of all electricity
consumed in the EU‑27. The share was much higher
in several countries, reaching 50% in Denmark, 33% in
Lithuania and Ireland, 31% in the UK, and 30% in Sweden.
#Europe now has 304 GW of #Onshorewind and #OffshoreWind capacity in total.
🔹#Germany 🇩🇪 added the most new #WindPower capacity in 2025.
🔹#Türkiye 🇹🇷 and #Sweden 🇸🇪 did well.
🔹Wind farms in the #EU-27 🇪🇺 alone generated 465 TWh of #electricity last year.

Indeed a close race in 2025, but UK will phase-out gas 🔥 to reduce energy costs.
Target is to add 7GW of #OnshoreWind capacity over the next 5 years, i.e. a total installed capacity of 23GW by 2030, and add 15GW of #OffshoreWind capacity between 2026-2030 to a total of 32GW.

Wow. Passenger car registrations collapsed in January 2026 📉 in Norway 🇳🇴
Just 2,218 new cars were registered.
Before subsidy changes made BEVs more expensive, many buyers rushed purchases into December. That month saw 35,188 registrations — almost 16× January.
A textbook pull-forward effect.

Battery storage systems demonstrated a particularly dynamic development. In general, high intraday electricity price fluctuations make batteries an attractive option, while the sharp price drop due to scaling effects in the mobility sector favors their investment. Accordingly, interest is growing in grid connections for large-scale battery storage systems. Several systems are already in operation and the market master data register lists an additional 11.5 GWh with a planned commissioning date. The capacity of large-scale battery storage systems rose from 2.3 to 3.7 GWh (an increase of 60 percent) over the course of the year. A total of just under 25 GWh of battery storage capacity is currently installed, with the majority (just under 20 GWh) being home storage systems. Depending on the scenario, Fraunhofer ISE's models show a battery storage requirement of 100 to 170 GWh by 2030. "The ramp-up of large-scale battery storage is fundamentally changing the way the German electricity system works. While effects on short-term flexibility provision are already visible, systemic impacts, e.g., on reserve power plants, can only be estimated at this stage. These developments require battery storage to be explicitly considered for expansion planning, system planning, and electricity market design," explains Leonhard Gandhi, project manager of the Energy Charts at Fraunhofer ISE.

Five EU Member States had 100% zero-emission city buses in 2025: Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, and Slovenia. Another six reached over 90% ZE shares: the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Finland, Belgium, Lithuania, and Romania.
Among major markets (i.e. markets with over 1,000 new city bus sales annually), the United Kingdom is back at the top of the league, with electric powertrains accounting for three out of four new city buses. Italy ranked second place, with nearly two out of three new city buses being zero-emission in 2025, making it the only major EU market ranking above the EU average. In third place, Spain had a ZE share of new city buses of 56%, slightly down from 57% in 2024. Germany ranks 4th, with half of new city buses being zero-emission. France takes last place among major markets, with a ZE share of 42%.
