Regarding the disgusting canard about Muslims trying to impose sharia law: the “basis” is the recognition of sharia courts’ rulings as legally binding arbitrations.
This is no different than the legal recognition of a Beis Din’s Halakhic rulings.
No one is being compelled to follow sharia law.

I've yet to see a way to do this out of vague notions of creating friction (none of which stops someone using their phone to take a picture of the screen) that doesn't create huge accessibility issues. If nothing else a lot of people use highlighting as an accessibility tool.
