Write your own psalm?

Or try to write a psalm poem?

Yes. Some of us use it and noticed it seemed to have morphed into a kind of liturgical Time Machine. πŸ™‚

And if any scammy types should be lurking, I never use these for online purposes. πŸ˜’

NaPoWriMo Day Five: Poem Prompt – Holding Heaven

And while we’re talking coffee shops, I’ve pulled out a β€˜poetry prompt,’ I enjoyed writing for #NaPoWriMo four years ago.

Can’t put my hand on my heart and say I’m following all of The Artist’s Way, but I have found the morning pages habit remarkably easy to establish.

Wishing you a peaceful stay. I was there last autumn and hope to return for a couple of days later in the year.

I write my poetry in coffee shops;
amongst steamy stanzas wreathed with cinnamon.
A chorus of freshly-ground beans chant
β€œMocha, Latte, Americano, Macchiato,”
while sweet sestinas soar
high above the crowded cabaret of packed pannini
who jostle for recognition, crying
β€œEat me! Eat me!”

I can appreciate the motivations but in 1971 I longed to have a bra, certainly wasn’t about to burn it!

Wrapped, wrapped, not something that sounds like an unfortunate encounter with the fruit bowl.πŸ˜•

Well yes. Not as embarrassing as my Spotify Wrapled, thank goodness.

I think that might be the seed for so many Midnight Mass Sermons. It says it all, doesn’t it?

Don’t know answer to that but some of us find C of E Daily Prayer (blue app) helpful and you can switch btw contemporary and traditional versions.

β€œOnly it wasn’t it…” goes on to explain how his remains were transported round Norfolk. I’d visions of poor old Edmund being carted round East Anglia in a suitcase! πŸ˜€

St Edmund the King and martyr commemorated last week. Smiled when the celebrant @csmv-wantage.bsky.social told us briskly of his beheading: β€œSo- that was it!” 1/

When I was at school in the 70s, we were still sniggering at β€œThe curse is come upon me, cried the Lady of Shalott.”

Having a stroll through my poor neglected starter pack? A kind of directory I guess. Maybe think of it as a party bag with balloons, toys and a slice of cake. πŸ˜‡

Down three points from 45 to 42. Time period July-September, so hopefully little damage was done during Greenbelt!
