I haven't moved onto Iceborne yet this playthrough! My plan is to do the all the HR content with CB first before moving onto Iceborne. That's annoying SAEDs stop becoming useful. Guess that's why they made savage axe because they knew SAEDs can only get you so far

One more Monster Hunter World post and THAT'S IT:
Charge Blade is way better solo than it is in multiplayer. Being able to land counters is much more reliable, monsters don't get hit out of the path of your attacks, and monsters more reliably stagger from your SAEDs which Charge Blade needs

No monster in Wilds combos you out of a roar. In order to stand a chance against Lunastra you need wind negation, fire res and maybe earplugs and once those are covered you just have the most aggressive monster in the game to deal with

There is no monster in Wilds who is as cheap and hard as Lunastra is in World... yet...

Monster Hunter World was my first Monster Hunter game and is still my favorite but I was surprised to find out that the game gets so much hate from people who were into the series before it came out. It's like a meme to the community. It's probably the most dunked on mainline game in the series

I feel like if Wilds follows in the same vein of master rank expansions as MH World and Rise did with their respective expansions then we have no idea where the story is headed. The Wyveria plot could take a huge backseat or just be straight up abandoned. I'm curious where it will go

It's always so interesting to me that the newer generation enjoys pixel art more than ever despite it not being the standard when they were growing up. I always considered my love for the genre to be due to nostalgia goggles but it looks like the aesthetic is appealing regardless. I'm all for it
