Comes a point when you question if it’s bad luck or the training methods.
Possibly £2m for each at best, and neither are likely to see their value increase. Maybe if a bidding war started you might get a bit more for Murphy. But he is 30 and suffering an injury hit season.
Providing money reinvested I would accept reasonable bids for either.
Both be a big loss though.
Based on the timings of the news stories it suggests that given the rejected £1m Elphege demands being too rich, we’ve binned the idea of paying a fee for reinforcements and switched to shopping in the bargain basement aisle instead. Lots of ifs and buts but suits the narrative for the neigh sayers.

Both Dad and Grandad had been fans before me so inevitable. Grandad got to see us (Pompey) while we were a real force in this country, and Dad as we began our slide right the way down to the fourth division and all the way back up again. One more promotion and I’ll have done the same.
