Yes this is certainly the best use of tax payer dollars. This won't make it past the appellate court because it's a direct violation of the first amendment.

The supreme Court would have to uphold it based on infringing first amendment rights. I doubt it will make it any further past the appellate court.

Mad fucking respect for senator Cory Booker right now.

He has been holding the chamber for over 18 hours with nothing but fact checks and ammo against the Republican regime.

This is what democracy looks like!!

what booker is doing right now is an example of what i mean when i say things like β€œwe need more ambition right now.” there is room in american politics right now for people with ambition to take big stands and reap the rewards. he’s doing it!

Yes, tariffs are a tax, but people don't mention often enough that they are a regressive tax. Taxes on consumer goods tax the poor at a higher rate, as basic necessities are a much larger part of their spending.

If food goes up by 20%, it is a tax on the poor. Rich people won't even notice.

My drawing displaying the 37 senators that voted for an anti-trans, anti-lgbtq+ bill (the NDAA) before Trump got into office and when Democrats controlled the Senate. Biden signed it.

These senators obeyed in advance.
