Meet the Allen's Hummingbird, a tiny Bay Area bird with a big attitude!
These small dynamic birds zip through coastal sage scrub and gardens like they own the place. Allen's Hummingbirds weigh less than a nickel and migrate hundreds of miles each year!

In May, our team toured the future North Richmond Horizontal Levee-- a nature-based shoreline project meant to protect North Richmond from rising sea levels. Thanks to The Watershed Project for leading such a knowledgeable tour and community engagement for the project.
