Image is a stack of copies of the Bill on a dark wood table. The front page reads:
A BILL TO
Establish the right to breathe clean air; to require the Secretary of State toachieve and maintain clean air in England; to make provision about
environmental targets and minimum standards in relation to clean air; to make provision about the powers, duties and functions of public bodies in England in relation to air pollution; to give the Office for Environmental Protection additional powers and duties related to clean air; to require the Secretary of State to comply with the United Nations Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution; to require the Secretary of State and public authorities to apply specified environmental principles in carrying out their duties under this Act; and for connected purposes.
I am so proud to have introduced this Bill to Parliament last year with cross-party support.
I am determined to see Ella’s Law voted on and passed through Parliament, and I strongly urge the Govt to adopt it in the upcoming King’s Speech.
Whatever it takes, this vital Bill must become law.

Tower block in fog
People walking across a bridge over water surrounded by fog
The smoggy conditions in London yesterday were primarily caused by a combination of low cloud, mist, and Saharan dust transported on southerly winds. PM2.5 pollution levels in London are lower than in previous years but still remain *above the most current World Health Organization guidelines*.

Thanks to @theecologist.org for using a version of my article about the insane, damaging plan to fit carbon capture technology to waste incinerators at Belvedere. 1/3

Reminded myself how totally amazing the Greenwich foot tunnel is this morning. Caught up with @karinlt.bsky.social and @escalatenow.bsky.social campaigners calling for more reliable lifts to support this important river crossing.

Wow! Labour have been getting more and more desperate with every passing day.
But this is off the charts. Inventing a tactical voting website?!

A map of Greenwich with shaded areas in green, yellow and orange, a legend is on the right hand side of the page
We’re very disappointed to see no evidence of Greenwich foot tunnels on this map. And these should be embedded in local transport policies. The cable car (which does feature) is not the best way for cyclists and wheelers to travel.

When will the foot tunnels be taken seriously? A response to a FOI published last September tells us components from north lift were used for the south lift. It’s simply not true that Precision Lifts are having to wait on ‘bespoke’ parts. A full investigation into this contractor is necessary!
