It was a challenge, but it did turn out beautiful and empowering. Many thanks to everyone who joined the assemblies or organised in their local contexts around the world. As always, all contributions were equally significant!

📍Vienna, Austria - Speech on April 21 “The houses and spaces for those who need them!” in connection with the protests in St. Marx. encommun.at

📍Manila, Philippines - Protest action of renter-families in Baseco Community “Public Rental Housing” of the Manila City government. About 124 renter-families have notices of eviction for failing to pay high rental cost for 3 consecutive months.

Residents of VTH have been resisting eviction and demolition since 2005. Residents suspect the land where VTH stands has been sold by the national government to a big private developer.

📍Manila, Philippines - Members of LUPA-Pilipinas from Vitas Temporary Housing (VTH), Manila’s biggest slum, demand the conversion of the temporary housing facility into a permanent settlement for public housing that will benefit the 10,000 families living in the community.

Stela Muci is a housing rights activist currently based in France. She has been coordinating local groups within
@federationdal.bsky.social a national network advocating for the right to housing. Since Dec. 2023, she has taken on the role of co-facilitator for the European Action Coalition.

Mauro Sirotnjak is an architect member of Right to the City in Zagreb as a researcher in spatial planning, housing policies and democratisation of management of public goods.

Enikő Vincze is professor and researcher in sociology and urban studies, and activist at Social Housing NOW in Cluj. Her works have focused on the political economy of housing in capitalism and socialism, EU policies and their impact on housing and its financialization.
