Stacked bar chart titled “CUNY graduation-rate data” showing student outcomes over six years. By year 6, 55.3% graduated without transferring, 31% are unidentified, and 11.7% of internal transfers have graduated or are still enrolled. Figure 1 is a stacked bar chart titled “CUNY graduation-rate data” displaying student cohort outcomes from year 0 through year 6. The x-axis shows time in years (0 to 6). Each vertical bar represents cumulative student outcomes at a given year. Segments within each bar are color-coded and labeled on the right as: No transfer, graduated No transfer, retained Unidentified Transfer, graduated Transfer, retained Over time, the proportion of students who graduate without transferring increases steadily and represents the largest segment by year 6 (55.3%). The “unidentified” category grows to 31% by year 6. A smaller portion (11.7%) represents internal transfers who have either graduated or remain enrolled by year 6. The remaining categories account for smaller proportions of students retained without graduating. The chart illustrates shifting student outcomes across six years, with graduation without transfer becoming the dominant outcome by year 6.
