I'm really impressed by that steam engine, whatever animation you're creating it's good that it features a train.

I bounce in & out of Twitter & Bluesky from time to time & the one thing I've noticed is how one side of social media completely embraces chaos whereas the other subdues it & it gives you a really clear idea of just how people use social media which is both fascinating & quite distressing.
Very unique design.
Stories like The Frost Giant's Daughter, Red Nails, A Witch Shall Be Born, The Hour of the Dragon etc could make amazing four-part or five-part episodes if you do them right.
We're sitting on an idea that should have been done ages ago and we're not doing anything with it.
Don't aim to please people, otherwise you'll just be a doormat people wipe their feet on.
And it's getting to the point where nostalgia just feels boring, we can't move past what we saw when we were children and so the only way to keep our attention is to have that refed into us as if that's all we're going to eat.
How about...

...adapting REH's Conan to animation instead?

2D animation is NOT dead, it's just surviving in countries that can actually appreciate it better than someone like America.

Something that I don't think we've properly discussed upon and we constantly ignore.
America has this HUGE disdain for the medium of animation & still chooses to see it as a GeNrE.
Compared to the rest of the world who actually appreciate the medium, America embraces narrow-minded insularity.
Make Blood Meridian into an animated movie & cast Bob Joles as the voice of Judge Holden.
Problem solved.
Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian would make an incredible animated film.
Wrapping 2023 up with something with a bit of magic in it.

I get it.
The idea itself seems so finite that anything else in terms of expansion would just feel like exploitation rather than genuine creativity.
But it's nice to imagine what could have been at least, because I love the concept of this film so much.
This movie had a profound impact on me so much so that I had the toys as well as the PC game Small Soldiers: Squad Commander.
Great times, all that was missing from this was a Saturday morning cartoon to really bring it together because the formula felt right for it.
I loved this movie SO MUCH as a kid & I need to rewatch again at some point.
Everything about it was just so much fun, right down to how unique & incredibly creative the concept was and how the Gorgonites & Commando Elite were as characters.
Everything about that film is exceptional right down to the music.
Once it's got its hooks in you it doesn't let you go until it's job is finished.
This year's TFN is going to be so much fun & I can't wait 😁
