Katβs campaign messaging highlights a modest upbringing and financial struggle, yet she comes from a wealthy family, attended elite private schools, and is supported by her partner, a CEO of a major media company. Her campaign mailers contain a comic book illustration depicting a modest childhood home and middle-class upbringing.
Oh my god, a dark money group is paying people to attack Tim Onion. But they call me a "CEO of a major media company."
Do not pay influencers to attack Tim Onion and his untold millions (or billions?) of dollars to attack Tim Onion without mentioning the GREAT deal you can on an Onion membership.
HOLY SHIT.
A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election.
Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?
"Look... It's run down, and previous owners haven't looked after it well. It requires gutting and complete modernisation throughout, including work to the foundations..."
"... Oh, the House? No. I'm talking about the Conservative Party."
And as a fun related legal fact, the failure of a commander to punish war crimes by his subordinates is also a war crime under the doctrine of command responsibility.
Published by the Naval War College in 2021:

"Declaring that no quarter will be given" is specifically prohibited by Art 23 of the Annex to the Hague Convention IV, which means it is a war crime under US domestic law by virtue of the War Crimes Act (18 U.S. Code Β§ 2441).
(1) The accused declared, ordered, or otherwise indicated that there shall be no survivors or surrender accepted; (2) The accused thereby intended to threaten an adversary or to conduct hostilities such that there would be no survivors or surrender accepted; (3) It was foreseeable that circumstances would be such that a practicable and reasonable ability to accept surrender would exist; (4) The accused was in a position of effective command or control over the subordinate forces to which the declaration or order was directed; and (5) The conduct took place in the context of and was associated with hostilities.

Denial of quarterβeven the declaration of no quarterβis a war crime.
And recognized as such by the US Government.

Iβm beginning to think Spurs are going to go the entire 2026 calendar year without an EPL win.
Next one wonβt be until fall of 2027.

what is the largest animal you are confident you could expel, singlehandedly, from a medium-size bookshop?
RULES:
- you have no resources beyond what is available in the shop
- you must remain more or less uninjured
- bookshop has 2 floors; animal is on ground floor, you can choose where you begin
How is he in a job?
The last thing you want to do if you're an incompetent person who has somehow clowned your way into a senior role is to appoint more competent people beneath you and get exposed for the fraud you are.
Apply this from the top down, over a period of years, and you end up with what we have now...
we have fewer players available this weekend than when lange gave his interview relaying one of the reasons we didnβt buy in january was because of all the players returning.

Oh my god people are giving small children AI toys and expecting them to learn communication from them??? THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT HUMANS SHOULD BE DOING THIS IS NOT AI'S JOB WHAT THE HELL www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
The parents in the study were interested in the toy's potential to teach language and communication skills. However, their children frequently struggled to converse with it. Gabbo didn't hear their interruptions, talked over them, could not differentiate between child and adult voices and responded awkwardly to declarations of affection. When one five-year-old said, "I love you," to the toy, it replied: "As a friendly reminder, please ensure interactions adhere to the guidelines provided. Let me know how you would like to proceed."
This is so tragic it's actually incredibly funny

βElon Muskβs Tesla given go-ahead to supply electricity in Great Britain.β A subheading underneath says: βOfgem licence means firm can replicate Texas setup of powering homes, businesses and EVs.β
Ed Miliband must step in and bar Tesla from holding an energy licence.
Elon Musk is a threat to our national security and clearly not a fit person to operate in our energy industry.
We canβt have the lights go out because heβs having a strop on X.
Tells you something (not sure what) about the interaction of technological progress and culture that someone posted a Telegraph mad headline generator here last week, and already it's obsolete because the real Telegraph headlines are even madder.

Terry Pratchett in a blue jacket and Akubra hat holding a young owl for release.
Eleven years since you crossed the black sands. I wish I could say that the world is better than you left it (although it will always be better for having had you in it) but at least there is a new Young Sam to help carry on the Pratchett name and ethos. Love you always β€οΈ
Appreciate that Spurs fans might not want to see what VV has said about Levy's legacy, timing is poor (albeit via FAB minutes), and that VV is himself at least partly culpable, but on several counts - he's not wrong, is he?
If Levy has mis-managed the club so significantly that the new guy couldn't identify the bad accounting until 6 months later, I assume we're in for a points deduction next season for accounting irregularities...
