The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

Trump's blockade against Venezuela is for "our oil." Experts say it isn't the US's to take. The president referred to President Nicolás Maduro’s government as a “hostile regime."

Just a reminder: Venezuela's oil has NEVER belonged to the United States.

And @booker.senate.gov has overwritten Thurmond’s record with 25 hours-plus of arguments for righteous causes. At one point he pleaded for checks and balances, science to compete with China, and research to help your relative with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. All in just 3 minutes, give or take.

This is really the whole ball game right now, *particularly* among the institutions that make up civil society.
