The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.
I want to make sure this is very clear.
Just a reminder: Venezuela's oil has NEVER belonged to the United States.
if i was running a political party and every time my opponents held power they started illegal wars for oil and crashed the economy i would simply say that repeatedly
Four scientists from NIH, NSF, EPA and NASA standing together to protect science
Congratulations to the #NSF on their Declaration of Dissent. We stand with you. Solidarity in science.

I already believe in Santa more than in getting an NSF grant, and this tilts the scale toward Santa even more.
Share this. Itβs why the White House demanding ABC get rid of Terry Moran. Moran has been suspended. What Moran said is accurate and true. Make sure his post makes the rounds.
And suddenly, no one's talking about the Epstein files any more.
Congrats, everyone.
Americans work more hours,
take less vacation,
work longer days,
& retire later.
But hey, at least we're not stuck with socialized health care.
Remember, those who claim to be enraged that an almost imperceptible amount of federal dollars goes to NPR and PBS are currently before the Supreme Court demanding that your taxpayer money be spent to fund a Christian school in Oklahoma that definitionally trafficks in propaganda
This is fine. It is all fine.

The worst thing you can do right now is hide or go quiet.
Stand up and talk back.
Just learned about this crowdsourced resource from @noamross.net & @scott-delaney.bsky.social that catalogues #NSF grant terminations. "Please disseminate as wildly as possible among your networks to inform, organize, and advocate..." airtable.com/appGKlSVeXni...
π¨ Another major round of #NSF terminations today π. Please report and encourage your colleagues to as well! We need this info to shed light on the damage caused, and to organize and advocate for science that includes and benefits all. airtable.com/appGKlSVeXni... π§ͺ
Large orange, yellow, and red clouds of dust and gas tower in the image, interspersed with a few pink stars.
Resembling a pair of butterfly wings, two lobes of a nebula stretch out from a central point, reaching to the upper right and lower left of the image. The lobes glow in pink, white, red, and orange hues, against a black background of space dotted with stars.
A roughly circular nebula, glowing in bright blue near the left curve, fills most of the image. At the top left corner is a region of gold-brown gas and dust. The "bubble" has bright pink stars seen throughout and is in front of dark blue and brown regions of gas and dust.
This Hubble image shows how young, energetic, massive stars illuminate and sculpt their birthplace with powerful winds and searing ultraviolet radiation. In this Hubble portrait, the giant red nebula (NGC 2014) and its smaller blue neighbor (NGC 2020) are part of a vast star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, located 163,000 light-years away. The image is nicknamed the "Cosmic Reef," because the nebulas resemble an undersea world. By contrast, the seemingly isolated blue nebula at lower left (NGC 2020) has been created by a solitary mammoth star 200,000 times brighter than our Sun. The blue gas was ejected by the star through a series of eruptive events during which it lost part of its outer envelope of material.
HAPPY 35TH BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST TELESCOPE EVER!! THANK YOU FOR GIVING US SUCH BEAUTIFUL AND ICONIC IMAGES OVER THE YEARS!!! ππ€©
This is a sad day for the Research Community. NSFβs mission has been to train future scientists. Who knows what the mission is nowβ¦

Go David Hogg!! I just watched David Hogg yell at Reince Priebus on ABC! Donβt let anyone intimidate you David!!
Thank you!
They are obviously slow learners
Every Friday afternoon, just as I am submitting my last grant proposal for the week, this administration drops something awful.

π₯ OBAMA: βIMAGINE IF I HAD DONE ANY OF THISβ¦ I say this not on a partisan basis. This has to do with something more precious β who are we as a country, and what values do we stand for?β πΊπΈ
In an act that makes my prostate hurt even thinking about it, Corey Booker showed the only model that will help the Democrats surviveβtotal opposition.
He broke segregationist Strom Thurmondβs record.
Chuck Schumer should step aside for him tomorrow.

Go out and cause some good trouble. Let's get back to our founding documents we must mutually pledge, it's not left or right its good or wrong
Madame President I yield the floor. - Corey Booker
And @booker.senate.gov has overwritten Thurmondβs record with 25 hours-plus of arguments for righteous causes. At one point he pleaded for checks and balances, science to compete with China, and research to help your relative with Alzheimerβs or Parkinsonβs. All in just 3 minutes, give or take.
This is really the whole ball game right now, *particularly* among the institutions that make up civil society.
(my parents definitely had this poster when I was growing up)
